On Wednesday we enter the rich season of Lent. Mass will be offered in Our Lady & St Alphege at 1200 and 1800 as well as at 1100 in St Josephs Peasedown St John.
At all these Masses there will be an opportunity to receive ashes as a sign of our repentance
Lent is a journey that lasts forty days and leads us towards the joy of Easter, the victory of life over death.
Pope Benedict the 16th in his last homily given on Ash Wednesday as Pope said
“May we feel deep within us the call to conversion, to “return to God with all our heart”, accepting his grace which makes us new men and women, with that astonishing newness which is a share in the very life of Jesus.”
