During the 6.00pm Mass on Thursday the 29th of October we will also celebrate the Sacrament of the Sick for those who would wish to receive this.
Receiving the sacrament will gives those anointed the spiritual healing, increased faith, peace and strength needed to endure suffering. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that: “By the grace of the sacrament the sick person receives the strength and the gift of uniting himself more closely to Christ’s Passion: in a certain way he is consecrated to bear fruit by configuration to the Saviour’s redemptive Passion” (1521).
