Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is on Thursday evenings at 1715 in the Church
What is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament?
It’s the act of worshiping Jesus Christ, truly present in the consecrated host, displayed in a monstrance or reserved in a tabernacle (CCC 1378).
These are moments to savour and to cherish as they bring us into the peace of the presence of Christ.
Reverence: Upon entering, genuflect if you can (kneel and make the sign of the cross) to acknowledge the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
What to bring: Consider bringing a Bible, rosary, journal, spiritual book.
What to do:
- Be Still: Simply sit or kneel before the Eucharist. Gaze at Him in the monstrance and let His presence fill you with peace.
- Repeat a Simple Prayer: Use phrases like “Jesus, I trust in You,” or “Lord, have mercy on me” to focus your mind and heart.
- Offer Intercessions: Pray for your family, friends, Church leaders, and the world.
